OPINION AND PUBLIC WRITING
I also write beyond the academy, convinced that philosophical thought does not end at the walls of the university. In the press and other spaces of public engagement, I find opportunities to explore ideas, refine questions and reflect on the challenges of the present in a more open language, without sacrificing rigour.
I am often guided by an intuition expressed by Rilke: writing is driven not only by the search for external recognition, but also by an inner necessity. In that sense, writing forms an integral part of the way I practise philosophy.
